Clintelica Top Tip: Gain Business Through Your Social Network

Everybody loves social media these days. But the question is: do you love it for the right reasons? And can you turn this love into a more pleasant feeling?

We believe you can.

Some say that social media is best for networking, some say social media is best for entertainment. All we know is that social media is best for business. Think about it. Every post that you slap to your Facebook wall, every line you change in your LinkedIn profile and every Tweet that you send out, all are made to make you look better. In fact, some say social media is not about engaging in conversations with people you're friends with, but that it's all about advertising yourself. And, considering that the average adult Facebook user has around 230 friends, while studies show that you can't maintain relationships with more than 150 people at a time, that might actually be true.

Now, leaving aside that social networks might look like surrogates to some, the fact of the matter remains. Advertising yourself is not bad at all, and if you can get something out of it, the perspective of it all might develop into something really attractive.

I mean, as long as you have over 600 ties on average in your overall social network, why not put that network to good use? If you link that to the other people's network in your company or in your business environment, the overall connections increase exponentially, as well as the chances to profit from the hundreds if not thousands of generated new leads.

Cold calling is dead. Network calling is the future.
